Back in California she decided that a change was in order and so in the Spring of 1994, she and her now husband Rafael, moved to San Francisco. Taking an interest in television production, Cecilia began her role as a music producer for the cable show On the Tip of My Tongue (OTTOMT) that still airs on AccesSF, Channel 29, San Francisco. OTTOMT concentrates on bringing local Bay Area talent into thousands of San Francisco homes.
Cecilia also works at the University of California, San Francisco within the Medical Effectiveness Research Center for Diverse Populations, which focuses on disparity issues surrounding the Bay Area’s diverse communities.
Art has always been present in Cecilia’s life and recently it has become the focal center of her creativity. Feeling a pull towards watercolors she set out in the summer of 2006 to test the waters within this medium and continues to explore with colors and textures. Cecilia is extremely honored to have been accepted to show at the Women’s Cancer Resource Center’s ¡Salud! Latino Art & Health Fair.
Cecilia has also shown her watercolors at the UCSF Staff and Faculty Art Show and was part of the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art’s 4th annual Snap to Grid exhibit from September 13 through October 4.
She has donated paintings to 360: The Positive Care Center at UCSF for their “Wings of Hope Gala” and to Holy Cross Anglican School in San Pedro, Belize.
